Updating the software of Winky

The update of Winky software consists in 4 steps

1) Connect Winky to the "Winky Code" app on your device (phone or tablet)

2) If your robot needs an update, "An update of Winky is available" will be displayed in the app. Click on "I agree".

3) The update is launched. You can check the progress bar displayed on your device screen.

4) The updates take up to 20 minutes.

Once the update is finished, restart Winky using the ON/OFF switch located under its head.

Note: If the progress bar stops, completely close the application and restart the application. Select the Bluetooth icon to reconnect your Winky. The message “A Winky needs help!” will then appear. Select the option “Yes, repair this Winky” and wait until the update is finished.

You can now play with the latest version of Winky's software!

If you encounter any problem, restart Winky and your mobile device (phone or tablet).

To check if Winky is up-to-date, click on "Settings" then "Check firmware" in the mobile app.

If nothing happens, your Winky is probably not connected to your device with bluetooth, so you need to reconnect it.

The firmware version of your Winky and the latest version will then appear on your device screen within the app. If both version numbers are the same, then your Winky is up-to-date!
